  • The Pirates are State Champs!!!!!

  • When the NIAA picked Clark High School as the site for the 3A State Championship game they overlooked one important fact. On the entrance gates to Charger Stadium a sign read “No Dogs Allowed” This sign was not posted by the Moapa Cheer Squad, but rather a stadium rule. And that seems to have set the tone for the ballgame!

The ferocity of the Bulldog’s bark was neutralized by the talented and determined Pirates! I stand in amazement watching the student participation at Moapa. Six bus loads of Athletes, Cheerleaders, Pep Band, Dancers and Coaches traveled to Las Vegas to represent Moapa Valley High School in the state title game.

Moapa Valley High School is a class act and deserves to be commented for their efforts in securing the 2007 3A State Football Title! Moapa Valley has surely set the standard for other schools to look up too!

    Congratulations Pirates!

  • Bubba was wrong! Pirates regain the “Hammer” and obtain sweet revenge on the same day. Now maybe the cocky bulldogs and their out to lunch fans will realize that mesquite is not and has never been the high school football capital of the world. The offense that the dogs have used for years has been one that is used for a team which has no talent. Smoke and mirrors is how the bulldogs won football games. Four of the bulldogs none league games were against opponents that were a combined 2-37. One of their opponents was a JV team from St George, which they beat by one point! Thats impressive! Try playing better teams and maybe you will do better in the big game. I hope bubba has the chesnuts to admit that he was rooting for his kids team when he made his guesses, and that he too was out to lunch. But first taste the humble pie that was dished out by the Pirates on Saturday. I hope you are hungry, because you are going to get it for quite a while.

    Congratulations Pirates!

  • I heard that Virgin Valley has pre- printed Back to Back shirtsI wonder what they plan on doing with em.

  • That shows just how cocky they were, having shirts and hats made up as if you had already won the championship. I’ll bet they are in a dumpster behind bulldog carwash, right where they belong.

  • Pirates all Day!

Hey don’t let those shirts go to waste. Send em to Moapa Valley High School like you sent a bunch of those Virgin valley shirts over to our student council for St. Patrick’s Day last year. That way we can hang them up and have something to laugh at.

  • Enough already! You won State, get over it! Champions act like they been there before. Moapa clearly came to play ball on that day, Moapa clearly beat the Dogs up physically, but the game was still tied at 14-14 and VV was still sleep walking. Imagine if they had woke up sooner. Congrats, and have coach Strong get them ready for B-ball, I hear that VV has recruited a 6′10 kid from northern CA. Look out!

  • ya ok whoever posted green pride. remeber what virgin did last year after they won state???? ya thats what i thought . even during the season they were braggin and instead of gettin in shape so they could play all 4 quarters of football, they were to busy makin back 2 back merchandise…… enough said ????

  • This is for T-Lump or Klomp or whatever. Bragging is great when you can do it. Moapa can clearly do that now. But, as I said, this is now B-ball season. It is time for moapa to get dunked on by the six foot ten kid from VV. It should be fun to watch. Coach Strong is a great coach, but I feel he may not have an answer for him. As for those green t-shirts sent to Moapa last year, it was a joke because some poor kids can’t wear green on St. Pats Day just because they go to MVHS. I bet your salary that VVHS kids wear blue or yellow each day of the week with no problems at all. WE GET IT! IT IS A RIVALARY, NOW GET OVER THE COLOR THING ALREADY! Great job Ben, keep up the good work.
    Peace out.

  • Pirates All day!

I seem to recall you guys standing up in the satnds during basketball season pulling on your state championship shirts, so don’t go around telling us it’s basketball and that enough is enough.

  • first of all if you are 6′10 and good at basketball why would you wanna go play for virgin valley!! hahaha thats wakk.. but i guess we’ll see. But obviously virgin couldnt play 4 quarters with us. thier lineman probably didnt even play a whole game all season becuase they played all these crappy teams where they didnt even need to play the second half because they were up by so much. oh yeah.. we’re STATE CHAMPS! and we won by 3 touchdowns not 3 points :)
